Summit was selected to join Ale-8-One’s Design-Build team to expand the botting facility and warehouse at its Winchester, KY headquarters. Our scope included Architectural and Civil design of a new breezeway to connect the existing bottling plant and metal shop buildings. The shop building was converted to warehouse space with new docks. Summit reconfigured the underground utilities, storm drainage, transformer pad and enclosure, and truck access and loading areas to accommodate the expansion of the building. Summit’s team members worked closely with Ale-8’s management team and the project’s Construction Management firm to develop a phased plan that met Ale-8’s vision for growth and allowed the current operation to continue uninterrupted throughout the 8-month construction period.
